If I remove my iCloud account I am able to log in and get it working, but as soon as I add it, the account disappears from messages just like it did before I deleted the keychain. No matter what I do the account removes itself. I've tried a bunch of things and it seems to come down to something to do with having my iCloud account in Internet Accounts. The strange thing is, I got it to work on one laptop(my work laptop) but I can't seem to get it working on my personal Macbook. ![]() Initially it was doing this strange thing where the account would disappear as soon as I changed the url to, but it seemed like the keychain thing fixed it. Those instructions work for the most part, but I had to delete my Jabber credentials in keychain as well as my Google entry in Internet Accounts before doing any of that to get it to work. Initially tried to follow some instructions for a fix to get it working with no success, but after using browser Hangouts for a few weeks I couldn't help but miss Hangouts so I gave another hard attempt at looking up how to do this. Looked around online for a while and discovered that others had a similar issue and it was no longer supported. ![]() ![]() I updated to High Sierra some time ago and noticed that I was no longer able to use Google Hangouts with the Messages app.
